Toronto, Canada.   The phrase, “out of the mouths of babes” couldn’t be more accurate when describing Grande
Prairie’s Tenille  (Nadkrynechny).   At the ripe age of 15 her songwriting skills have aligned her with some of the best in
the country music business including Nashville SESAC Legacy Award Winner Stan Webb, and multi Juno nominated
and CCMA Award winners each Tim Taylor and Duane Steele. Produced by Duane Steele, Tenille’s current single
“Home Now” is a tribute to fathers serving overseas. “Home Now” is being released to radio by Lauren Tutty
Promotions in time for Remembrance Day and American Thanksgiving.

“In Social Studies class, we were talking about politics and the war in Afghanistan,” said Tenille, “when I came home, I
sat down with my guitar and kept writing until the song was finished. I did not think as I wrote this song, I just felt.  It
was an emotional writing experience that was completed in a short period of time; even my parents cried when I
played it for them.”

Tenille sang “Home Now” in Vancouver at the East Meets West showcase in September prior to the CCMAs.
Performed acoustically to over 350 industry and public attendees, “Home Now” was met with enthusiastic cheers.

“She wrote that song?” asked Nashville’s Stan Webb, “those lyrics are powerful and certainly not common of
someone so young.  Tenille is special and has a special gift.  I’m writing with her.”  He did.

Audience reaction repeated itself at the EMERSON DRIVE AND FRIENDS ACOUSTIC BENEFIT CONCERT hosted by CMT’
s Casey Clarke in Grande Prairie, September 15th.  Sharing the stage with The Wilkinsons, Gord Bamford and Emerson
Drive, Tenille received a standing ovation for “Home Now”.

Inspired by artists such as Tim McGraw and George Canyon who have also written songs relating to the war in
Afghanistan, Tenille is very aware of the world’s current events.  “What is happening is real – it is happening right
now,” she said, “I honestly believe that music is very powerful and sometimes speaks louder than words.  That’s why
I wrote ‘Home Now’ – it’s from a young girl’s perspective and I believe that voice deserves to be heard.  I am
dedicating this song to anyone who has loved ones abroad.  When I sing it, I do so in honor of our military heroes.”
Out of the mouths of babes……..

Tenille will be launching her debut CD,  Fall 2010.

A Tribute to Fathers Serving Overseas
Media

Valentine’s Day is often marked with bouquets of roses, boxes of dark chocolate, or romantic dinners.  However
in Grande Prairie, Alberta, 16 year old country rising star, Tenille more than gave from the heart with the creation,
and execution of her first fundraising event, BIG HEARTS FOR BIG KIDS to financially support the only youth
shelter north of Edmonton known as SUNRISE HOUSE.

Concert still raises $30,000
NICK KUHL Herald-Tribune staff

In the wake of Friday's decision to temporarily shut down Sunrise House, it would have been easy to fold
Saturday's (February 13th) scheduled fundraiser for the youth emergency shelter.
But instead of taking the simple route, organizers welcomed nearly 300 people at the Jackpot Grill, treated them
to a great show and raised more then $30,000 for the shelter society.
"It was definitely an amazing goal to reach and that is a really great number for us," said one of the organizers,
Tenille, who performed at the event.
"We just wanted to see a lot of the seats full and, quite frankly, we didn't really have a big goal set. This is the
first time this event has happened, so we weren't sure what the turnout would be.
"It was absolutely fantastic and I couldn't have seen it going any better."
The fundraising concert, which also featured performances by Hey Romeo, Codie Prevost, No Limitz, Troy Kokol,
Joni DeLaurier, Ashley Rae and Stan Hitchcock, almost didn't take place.
Twenty-four hours earlier it was announced Sunrise House would be temporarily closed for at least three months.
But instead of conceding defeat, Tenille decided to use the announcement as the main motivating factor and
primary reason to continue with the show.
"(Friday's news) really changed the atmosphere. We knew that the shelter needed the help before that and we
had no idea that was coming – it was a total shock to us," she said.
"But really it came at a perfect time for this fundraiser and it's really important to get those doors back open.
"When Sean Doerkson (youth shelter society board president) came up at the very beginning of the evening he
said a quick speech and broke the news.
"I don't think a lot of people had actually known it had shut down and it was pretty silent in the room at first. It
really hit home and people realized 'this is what we're here for and let's really make a big difference.'
The energy in the room was just overwhelming."
A live auction for a trip for two to anywhere WestJet flies and a silent auction were the biggest money-makers of
the evening, with the trip fetching a $6,000 winning bid. In addition, a large percentage of the performers'
merchandise also went to the cause.
"This is the first time I've been on this side of an event," Tenille said of her organizing role. "Usually you show up
and you sing, but this was an amazing learning experience. I really have a great appreciation for all the work that
goes into an event like this.
"It was fabulous to be able to bring the community together for an amazing cause and I would love for it to
become an annual event."

From presenting sponsor BIG COUNTRY 93.1:

“The Big Hearts for Big Kids event hosted by Tenille exceeded all expectations without exception.  From the start
Tenille was professional beyond her years and was in regular working contact with us.  Going into the event, the
venue was the classiest it has ever looked -- the musicians she brought in were amazing and everyone there had a
great time.  I have been involved with many of these events over the years and this was simply one of the best --
then to factor in that this was pulled off by “a just turned 16 year old” is beyond praise.  Tenille is not only an
amazing talent, but her work ethic, humility, intelligence and her character will guarantee she is successful at
everything she does.  We at Big Country will continue working with Tenille on future projects and help her grow
until she's ready to fly well beyond our air space.

We at Big Country gave a young band called 12 Gauge tremendous support 15 years ago -- they evolved into a
Grammy nominated band called Emerson Drive – with our local boy Brad Mates losing that Grammy in the vocal
category to Don Henley and The Eagles!  We will give Tenille the support she needs as she has the potential to
make us just as proud.”

Tenille's Latest EP- "NOTE TO SELF"- containing songs of
her soon-to-come Debut Album
The face of politics certainly looked younger when Grande Prairie’s TENILLE visited the office of Chris Warkentin, Member of
Parliament for the Peace River Constituency.  Mr. Warkentin, a fan of Tenille’s, was impressed with the creation, execution
and $30,000 raised in one evening for the first and now annual, Big Hearts for Big Kids fundraiser for the Grande Prairie Youth
Emergency Shelter Society held in February.  After posing for a picture and chatting about Tenille’s soon to be released, EP,
NOTE TO SELF and her debut CD launching this Fall, Mr. Warkentin and his staff enjoyed a private acoustic performance
with Tenille singing, “Pictures On A Crooked Wall”.

Who says you can’t mix music with politics.
